Policies:
INITIAL CONSULTATION: It is our policy that we
must meet with our clients (both human and furry) in person. We feel it is always best to have the pet owner personally
introduce GSPS to their pet. During this consultation, we will become familiar with your pet's needs (exceptions
can be made in the event of an emergency). We will collect necessary care information and veterinary releases.
We also ask at this time that you provide us with two keys. This is so we always have a back-up in case a key does not
work or a lock out. The key will be labeled in such a manner that is is not associated with the pet owner's name
or address.
PAYMENT:
For new clients, payment in full is expected at the time services are scheduled. For existing clients,
payment is expected at the first visit. For mid-day walk clients, payment can be arranged on a weekly, bi-weekly, or
monthly basis.
HOLIDAYS:
Unlike other pet sitters, GSPS does not increase their rates on holidays at this time. However, holiday
visits that are not scheduled two weeks in advance will be charged a $20.00 last minute scheduling fee. Holidays are
New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday-Friday), Christmas Eve, Christmas
Day, and New Year's Eve. Additionally, any cancellations seven days prior to holidays will result in a $20.00 cancellation
fee.
GSPS requires a 50%
deposit for services scheduled during Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
LAST MINUTE SCHEDULING: A $10.00 last minute scheduling fee will be charged for all non-holiday visits
scheduled less than 24 hours in advance.
CANCELLATIONS: A last minute
cancellation fee will be charged for all non-holiday visits (2 days or longer) canceled less than 48 hours in advance.
MILEAGE: If your home is over 20 miles round trip from the GSPS office,
there will be an additional service charge based on mileage.
